Be the expert behind precision parts

Step into a role where your mastery of CNC machining brings complex designs to life. As our CNC Machinist & Multi‑Axis Programming Specialist, you’ll set up, program, and run computer-controlled lathes, mills, and grinders to craft precision metal components that meet exacting engineering specifications. You’ll keep equipment humming, verify accuracy, and raise the bar for quality every shift.

What a typical day looks like

You arrive ready to translate blueprints into action. You’ll quickly dial in machine setups, collaborate with engineering and the CAM team to refine programs, and create or improve fixtures that hold tricky parts securely. During production runs, you monitor performance, measure rigorously, and document findings—flagging opportunities to improve cycle times or finish quality. When you spot a better toolpath or technology, you share it with your supervisor and programming partners. All the while, you follow our Quality Management System to ensure every part ships right the first time, and you maintain strong working relationships across the shop floor.

Key contributions you’ll make

  • Complete machine setups efficiently and precisely for lathes, mills, and grinders
  • Partner with engineering and CAM to build, edit, and enhance CNC programs
  • Design and assist in fabricating fixtures for parts from simple to complex
  • Recommend technical advancements to leadership and programming to boost throughput
  • Run production batches to spec, holding tight tolerances
  • Uphold quality via our Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Track and report operational/performance issues to your supervisor
  • Foster positive, effective relationships with peers, supervisors, and support teams
  • Handle additional responsibilities as assigned

Background that sets you up for success

  • High school diploma or GED required; post‑secondary CNC training preferred
  • 5+ years of hands‑on CNC machine operation
  • Fluent in G & M code with the ability to edit programs at the control
  • Advanced blueprint and engineering drawing literacy

Technical strengths we value

  • Experience with 3‑ to 5‑axis machining
  • Proven skill reading and interpreting engineering drawings/prints
  • Deep knowledge of programming, setup, and machine operation
  • Comfort with precision metrology: calipers, micrometers, gauges
  • Resourceful troubleshooting of mechanical and technical issues
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a quality‑first mindset
