    Job Description

    Your role As a CNC Machinist, your mission is to program, set up, and operate Swiss-type lathes for precision component manufacturing. Responsibilities include part inspection, equipment maintenance, and collaboration with engineering and quality teams in a safe, team-oriented environment. You will report to the Production Manager, Equipment Operations. You will Set up, operate, and monitor CNC Swiss-type lathes to produce precision components to specifications Read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions. Select, install, and adjust cutting tools, collets, guide bushings, and other machine parts. Perform offset adjustments, tool changes, and program edits at the machine control. Measure and inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, indicators, and CMM. Write machine G-code programs using a CAD/CAM software based on part drawings and specifications from engineering. Perform routine machine maintenance and keep work area clean and organized. Collaborate with team members such as manufacturing engineering, quality, planning, and production staff Support implementation of new products, tooling, techniques and processes Foster a team-based learning environment for yourself and others Promote a safe work area carrying out regular housekeeping duties as necessary. Set up and operate multi-spindle CNC machines Read and interpret technical drawings and understand GD&T. Read, write, and edit G-code programs. Set, use, and read precision layout and measuring instruments High School Diploma or equivalent. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (AS APPLICABLE): Lift and position parts weighing up to approximately no more than 50 pounds periodically. Grip, push and pull carts loaded with parts. Standing up for duration of the shift.
