Experienced CNC Machinist/Metal Fabrication

Newburyport MA

Salary Based on Experience ($30-$36 hr.)

• Optimize Machine Uptime and Minimize Tool Wear or Breakage. This would include documenting optimized machine specific parameters.
• Training of employees on CNC Machinery for department growth.
• Responsible for researching new tooling, techniques, fluids, methods of improvement.
• Maintaining Tooling, Fabrication Programs
• Machine Maintenance Machining, CNC Lathe and Mill
•  Metal Forming, Press Brake and Rolls
• Any skills and duties specific to the areas above will be addressed on a case-by-case basis.
• CNC Machine Programming, Solidworks Cam
• Coordinate each Machine Center within the Automated Metal Prep Area to Maximize Efficiency and Minimize Waste

Develop Machine Operation Standards

• Schedule / Prioritize  Work within department
•  Interface with engineering team to correct design issues and concerns drawing correctness and manufacturability issues.

Technical Skills & Qualifications

·       5 years’ experience

·       High School degree or equivalent, OTJ training accepted

·       Mechanical aptitude

·       Measure and inspect finished products using standard measuring instruments like calipers and tape measures to ensure they meet dimensional accuracy and quality standards.

·       Read and interpret blueprints and work orders to understand technical requirements and project specifications.

·       Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, email)

·       Driven self-starter with a positive attitude

·       Good interpersonal skills

·       Able to work independently or as a team

·       Regular attendance and daily punctuality are necessary for performing the job

·       Able to be on your feet, bend, or occasionally climb short ladder for a minimum of 8 hours a day

·       Able to lift / move 50 lbs.

·       Able to work minimum of 40 hours and work OT as needed
