Location: General Die & Engineering, an ArtiFlex family company, 6500 Clay Avenue SW, Grand Rapids, MI

GD&E, an Artiflex family company, is hiring a CNC Machinist. You will help craft die cast dies, plastic injection molds, and stamping die components in a low-volume, high-mix environment. If you thrive on precision, challenge, and variety-this is the role for you.

What You'll Do:
  • Program on the shop floor using WorkNC
  • Operate CNC equipment to machine tight-tolerance parts with quality as a top priority
  • Perform setups and validate work using precision inspection tools
  • Meet production deadlines while maintaining accuracy and consistency
Types of Machines You May Operate:
  • Horizontal CNC Mills
  • Vertical CNC Mills
  • 5-Axis CNC Mills
  • EDM Sinker Machines
  • Carbon Machining Equipment
  • Gun Drilling Machines
What You Bring:
  • 2+ years of CNC machining experience, preferably in a die shop or tooling environment
  • On-floor programming experience using WorkNC or similar CAM software
  • Strong knowledge of measuring and inspection tools
  • Proven commitment to high-quality workmanship
  • Team-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail
  • Carbon machining and EDM sinker experience (preferred)
