CNC Machinist Operator - Second Shift

Oxford Solutions is working with a manufacturing client to hire a CNC Machinist.

Second shift role (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM).

This position is ideal for a machinist with hands-on experience operating and setting up multi-axis lathes, particularly Doosan and Okuma turning centers. The right candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude and a commitment to quality and precision.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines, including multi-axis lathes
• Run turning operations on Doosan and Okuma CNC equipment
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Perform in-process and final inspections using calipers and other measuring tools
• Monitor machine performance and make basic adjustments as needed
• Troubleshoot minor mechanical or machining issues to maintain production quality

Qualifications

• Experience setting up and operating CNC lathes; multi-axis experience required
• Familiarity with Doosan and/or Okuma turning centers preferred
• Strong understanding of CNC machining processes
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
• Comfortable using calipers and precision measuring instruments
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
