We are seeking an experienced CNC Milling Setup Machinist to join a high-precision manufacturing operation supporting the aerospace, defense, and semiconductor industries.
This position will focus on setting up and machining complex, tight-tolerance components in a highly technical, high-mix manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate has a strong CNC milling or lathe foundation, can independently perform setups, and is comfortable troubleshooting and making adjustments at the machine.
2nd Shift: Monday–Thursday
Four 10-hour shifts
Fridays off

Pay: $30–$50/hr+, highly depending on experience and technical capabilities. Additional flexibility is available for highly experienced machinists.
Responsibilities:
Perform complete setups on CNC milling machines for complex precision components.
Set tooling, fixtures, workholding, offsets, and work coordinates.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, dimensions, and tolerances.
Prove out jobs and make necessary adjustments at the machine.
Troubleshoot tooling, workholding, dimensional, and machining issues.
Make G-code, tool, and offset adjustments as necessary.
Perform in-process inspection using micrometers, indicators, height gauges, bore gauges, and other precision measuring equipment.
Maintain tight tolerances and ensure parts meet customer and engineering requirements.
Work closely with CNC programmers, engineering, and quality to improve machining processes.
Support both new and established jobs in a high-mix precision manufacturing environment.
Requirements
CNC milling setup experience in a precision manufacturing environment.
Experience with 3-axis, 4-axis, and/or 5-axis CNC milling.
Strong blueprint reading and dimensional inspection skills.
