DOE (& a $3/hr shift differential)Location: Paris, ILZIP Code: 61944Start Date: Right AwayShift: 2nd shift *Must be willing to train on 1st shift before transitioning to 2nd* Keywords: #CNCMACHINIST #ILjobsJob Description: :CNC Machining TechnicianPosition SummaryThe Machining Technician is responsible for setting up and operating CNC and manual metal fabrication equipment to machine a variety of materials in accordance with specifications, routers, and quality standards.Key Responsibilities* Mount, align, and secure tooling, attachments, and workpieces on machines.* Set up and operate CNC machines and machining centers to perform cutting, drilling, milling, reaming, boring, and related operations.* Perform machining operations as specified on routers and work instructions.* Load control media and retrieve programmed instructions from the machine controller.* Calculate and set machine controls including spindle positioning, cutting depth, speed, feed rate, and coolant flow.* Select, install, and maintain cutting tools.* Monitor machine operation to ensure safe and efficient performance.* Adjust machine controls to correct malfunctions or out-of-tolerance conditions.* Measure and verify parts meet blueprint, sketch, and specification requirements using appropriate measurement tools.* Clean machines and tooling after use.* Maintain housekeeping standards and apply 6S principles in work areas.* Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).* Follow all quality systems, operating procedures, safety rules, and regulations.* Perform other duties as assigned by management.Qualifications* High school diploma or equivalent.* Two years of college or technical school or three years of related machining experience preferred.* Strong mechanical aptitude and cognitive skills.* Ability to read and understand routers, blueprints, sketches, diagrams, manuals, and specifications.* Good problem-solving, judgment, and communication skills.* Basic computer skills.* Ability to work effectively in a team environment.* Work Environment & Physical Requirements* Primary work location: Manufacturing floor.* Requires standing, walking, sitting, bending, kneeling/crouching, climbing, pushing, and pulling.* Exposure to noise.* Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.Export Control / ITAR Compliance* Access to the facility and employment is restricted under U.S. export control regulations.
