CNC Machinist

Job Overview 

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machinist to join our team. The Machinist will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, technical expertise, and a commitment to quality. As a Machinist, you will play a key role in the manufacturing process, contributing to the production of high-quality components across a range of industries. 

Key Responsibilities 

Machine Operation 

• Set up and operate machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and CNC equipment to produce precision parts. 
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, or CAD designs to determine machining operations and specifications. 
• Monitor machines during operation to ensure the desired output is achieved within tolerances. 

Quality Assurance 

• Inspect completed parts to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. 
• Make necessary adjustments to machines or tools to maintain precision and prevent defects. 
• Maintain strict adherence to safety and quality protocols throughout the manufacturing process. 

Maintenance and Troubleshooting 

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on machines to ensure smooth and efficient operations. 
• Diagnose and resolve machine malfunctions to minimize production delays. 
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment to facilitate safe operations. 

Collaboration and Continuous Improvement 

• Work closely with engineers, production managers, and other team members to optimize machining processes. 
• Provide input on tooling, materials, and process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. 
• Stay updated on advancements in machining technology and best practices. 

Qualifications and Skills 

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in machining is preferred. 
• Experience: Proven experience as a Machinist, with expertise in operating various machine tools and CNC equipment. 
• Technical Skills: 
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings. 
• Strong understanding of machining principles and materials. 
• Familiarity with precision measuring tools and instruments. 

Attention to Detail: Ability to produce high-quality work with close tolerances. 

Problem-Solving: Sharp analytical skills for diagnosing and addressing machining issues. 

Physical Stamina: Capability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods. 

Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with team members and documenting processes.
