A bit about us:

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our growing manufacturing team. This position is responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC lathes and CNC milling machines while producing high-quality precision components. The ideal candidate has strong CNC programming experience, can read blueprints, troubleshoot machining issues, and lead a small team to meet production and quality goals

Job Details

Set up, program, and operate CNC lathes, horizontal mills, and vertical mills.
Edit and troubleshoot G-code programs to optimize machining performance.
Load materials, prove out new programs, set tool offsets, and perform first-piece inspections.
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, GD&T, and work instructions.
Verify finished parts using precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, indicators, depth gauges, and other inspection tools.
Monitor production to ensure quality standards and production goals are consistently achieved.
Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary machine adjustments to maintain part quality.
Perform routine preventative maintenance and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Collaborate with production, engineering, quality, and management to resolve machining and process issues.
Recommend and implement continuous improvement initiatives that improve efficiency, quality, and safety.
Lead and mentor a team of 2–3 machine operators while promoting a positive, team-oriented work environment.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of CNC machining experience, including machine setup and programming.
Experience with CNC lathes, horizontal machining centers, and vertical machining centers.
Strong CNC programming skills with the ability to read and edit G-code.
Experience interpreting blueprints and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
Proficient using precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, indicators, and depth gauges.
Strong understanding of tooling, inserts, fixtures, boring bars, tool holders, and machining practices.
Ability to troubleshoot machining processes and maintain tight tolerances.
Basic math skills including geometry and algebra.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Experience with Haas CNC controls preferred.
Experience with SolidCAM and SolidWorks is a plus
