CNC Machinist – Large Custom Parts
Position Overview
We are hiring experienced CNC Machinists to machine large, custom components in a job shop environment. This role is ideal for professionals who enjoy working on complex, one-off parts rather than repetitive production work.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC vertical mills and horizontal/vertical lathes.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Determine tooling, workholding, and machine setups for large components.
- Perform basic CNC programming and machine adjustments (2D, 3-axis mills, and 2-axis lathes).
- Inspect finished parts to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Follow safety and quality standards while meeting production deadlines.
Qualifications
- Experience operating CNC mills and lathes.
- Strong setup experience with large or custom-machined parts.
- Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings.
- Basic CNC programming and editing skills.
- Experience machining fabricated or heavy components is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Schedule
- Monday–Friday: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM (approximately 50+ hours/week).
- Optional Saturday overtime: 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM.
- Overtime paid at 1.5x the regular hourly rate.
Pay
- $30–$40 per hour, based on experience.
