The CNC Machinist Programmer is responsible for independently programming and operating a variety of CNC machines including Vertical Machining Centers and Turn/Mill machines in a custom job shop environment. This role requires expertise in CAD/CAM programming and precision machining to deliver high-quality, custom-manufactured components with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
Program and operate CNC Vertical Machining Centers and Turn/Mill machines
Create and optimize CAD/CAM programs for custom manufacturing jobs
Set up and run CNC lathe and milling equipment accurately and efficiently
Interpret blueprints and technical specifications for precise machining
Perform quality checks using precision measurement tools
Troubleshoot programming and machining issues to ensure product quality
Maintain CNC machinery and update programs as needed
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum 2 years experience in CNC programming
Proficient with CAM software and CNC Lathe operations
Experience with Vertical Machining and Turn/Mill machines
Strong blueprint reading skills
Highly accurate in precision measurement techniques
Excellent problem-solving abilities
Detail-oriented with a focus on quality output
