Responsibilities
CNC Programming & Setup
Program, set up, and operate CNC mills, lathes, and other machining centers.
Create and edit CNC programs using G-code and CAD/CAM software.
Select tooling, establish machine offsets, and prepare machines for production runs.
Perform first-piece inspections and make necessary program adjustments.
Machining Operations
Manufacture precision components according to blueprints, specifications, and work instructions.
Monitor machine operations to ensure quality, accuracy, and productivity.
Perform tool changes and optimize machine performance.
Troubleshoot programming, tooling, and machine-related issues.
Quality Control
Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection tools.
Verify compliance with engineering specifications and customer requirements.
Complete all required production and quality documentation.
Maintenance & Safety
Perform routine machine maintenance and housekeeping duties.
Maintain a safe and organized work area.
Follow company safety policies and industry best practices.
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of CNC programming, setup, and machining experience preferred.
Proficiency with CNC mills and/or lathes.
Experience with G-code programming and CAD/CAM software.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T.
Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, feeds, and speeds.
Experience using precision measuring equipment.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Mastercam, Fusion 360, SolidWorks CAM, or similar software.
Knowledge of multi-axis machining.
Experience working in a high-precision manufacturing environment.
Vocational training, technical certification, or apprenticeship in machining.
