Job Title: CNC Operator (R&D Environment)Summary:Responsible for operating CNC machines including mills, lathes with live tooling, and mill-turn centers in an R&D setting.Key Responsibilities:Operate CNC machines and monitor performance during machining processesSet up, adjust, and edit CNC programs as neededWork with multiple machines or processes at the same timeInspect and measure parts using precision measuring toolsPerform routine and advanced machine maintenance and troubleshootingAdjust machine controls such as speed, feed, depth, and coolant flowEnsure parts meet blueprint and specification requirementsMaintain safe work practices and report hazards or injuries immediatelyMaintain attendance, punctuality, and a professional, team-oriented attitudeCommunicate effectively and collaborate with coworkers and supervisorsFollow instructions and complete additional tasks as assignedQualifications:5+ years of CNC setup and operating experience (mills, lathes, mill-turn preferred)Ability to read and interpret blueprints and manufacturing specificationsStrong math skills, including algebra and trigonometryExperience in an R&D or prototype environment preferredKnowledge of Mastercam or Esprit is a plusAbility to determine machining methods and operation sequencesEducation:Associate degree, technical certification, or journeyman status preferredPhysical Requirements:Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionallyRegular standing, sitting, and use of hands for precision workOccasional bending, reaching, and movement around machineryGood vision required, including depth and color perceptionWork Environment:Manufacturing shop environment with moderate noise levelsKPG123K
