Our Client, a Global Provider of Electronic Design and Test Solutions, is looking for a CNC Machinist for their Rancho Santa Margarita, CA location.
Responsibilities:
Operate CNC Swiss style lathe independently during swing shift, ensuring safe, efficient, and continuous production
Make in process adjustments to tooling, offsets, feeds, and speeds to maintain part quality and dimensional control
Take full ownership of product quality on night shift, including inspection, documentation, and adherence to specifications and control plans
Identify, troubleshoot, and correct machining issues such as tool wear, machine alarms, surface finish problems, and dimensional variation
Work closely with peer machinists and management to ensure smooth handoff, including clear communication of machine status, job progress, open issues, and improvement opportunities
Follow standard work, drawings, and setup sheets while applying expert judgment to optimize process stability and cycle time
Perform routine machine checks and preventive actions to minimize downtime and ensure equipment readiness
Maintain accurate production, quality, and downtime records per operational requirements
Escalate quality, safety, or equipment concerns as needed to prevent defects from reaching the next operation
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe tool machine shop area
Grind, sharpen, and recondition carbide and HSS cutting tools per specification
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of experience and/or education in the following:
CNC Swiss/Lathe
FANUC CNC controls
Machining small, high-precision turned parts
Troubleshooting machining and quality issues
Interpreting Specifications, Including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
High School diploma or equivalent; Some college or technical coursework preferred
Ability to read and converse in English
Ability to interpret specifications, including Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
