Akkodis is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist for a Contract / Contract\u2011to\u2011Hire position with a client in St. Louis, MO. The ideal candidate will possess strong CNC machining experience, the ability to interpret engineering drawings, and a commitment to quality and safety.\n \nShift: 1st Shift \u2013 Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM (CT)\n \nPay Range: $18.00/hour to $22.00/hour on W2; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, and other factors.\n \nCNC Machinist job responsibilities include:\n\n Set up CNC machines to run parts according to engineering drawings and specifications.\n \n\n Read and interpret production drawings to determine dimensions, tolerances, and operational requirements.\n \n\n Operate CNC milling and/or lathe machines in a production manufacturing environment.\n \n\n Perform in\u2011process inspections to ensure machines are producing quality products.\n \n\n Monitor machines during operations to ensure optimal productivity and adherence to production schedules.\n \n\n Troubleshoot issues during machine operation and make necessary adjustments.\n \n\n Ensure regular and preventative maintenance procedures are completed.\n \n\n Maintain a clean and organized work area; clean machines before or after shifts as required.\n \n\n Use precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gages, small hole gages, etc.) to verify part quality.\n \n\n \nTop Technical Skills Required:\n\n Ability to read production drawings and understand dimensions and tolerances.\n \n\n Proficiency in basic math and accurate use of calculators.\n \n\n Hands\u2011on experience operating CNC milling and/or lathe equipment.\n \n\n Knowledge of cutting tools such as drills, end mills, taps, and lathe inserts.\n \n\n Proficiency using precision measurement tools including calipers and micrometers.\n \n\n \nRequired Qualifications:\n\n Senior\u2011level experience: 5\u20138 years of CNC machining experience preferred.\n \n\n Technical degree in machining or related field or 2\u20134+ years of equivalent hands\u2011on experience.\n \n\n Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.\n \n\n Experience working in a production manufacturing environment.\n \n\n \nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n Ability to read, interpret, and modify CNC programs.\n \n\n Strong time\u2011management skills.\n \n\n Ability to work effectively in a fast\u2011paced, team\u2011oriented environment.\n \n\n \nIf you are interested in this role, then please click APPLY NOW.
