Position Description
The CNC Machinist/Set-Up Person is responsible for set-up and operation of HAAS and Fanuc CNC mills.
Qualifications
Education Certifications High School Diploma or equivalent
Skills Knowledge and Experience Prior experience as a CNC Machinist/CNC Machine Set-up person Ability to work in a team environment Experience with HAAS Machines Fanuc Robodrill (a plus) Optical experience (a plus)
Essential Functions
Set-up and operate HAAS and Fanuc CNC mills Techno Router Review and interpret blueprints GDT preferred Run a manual mill and lathe for fixturing/engineering support Handling waxing fixturing machining and cleaning glass materials Monitor machines/parts adjusting offsets as determined by programmers Perform measurements and conduct quality checks on in-process/completed parts Use Calipers Micrometers Vision System, etc., to verify work Perform routine machine/coolant maintenance Maintain cleanliness of area/tools Participate in 5S and lean manufacturing practices Perform other duties as needed and assigned.
