KMM Group is hiring experienced CNC Machinist Setup Operators for 2nd and 3rd shift at our precision manufacturing facility in Hatboro, PA, serving the Greater Philadelphia Region, Northeast Philadelphia, Montgomery County, and Bucks County.
This is not button-pushing work. At KMM, machinists help produce complex, mission-critical components used in medical devices, aerospace systems, defense applications, space exploration, and high-tech manufacturing. The parts are small, precise, and important. The details matter.
You may work with CNC milling, Swiss machining, or CNC mill-turn equipment, depending on your background and the needs of the team. Our shop includes advanced equipment such as Mori Seiki CNC mill-turn centers, Citizen and Traub Swiss machines, Haas 5-axis machining centers, Yasda hard milling equipment, DMU palletized machining, Hurco machining centers, Renishaw probing systems, live tooling, bar feeders, and multi-axis CNC platforms.
Set up and operate CNC equipment including milling machines, Swiss automatics, CNC lathes, and mill-turn centers
Read and interpret complex blueprints, drawings, work instructions, and GD&T requirements
Machine high-precision components from materials such as stainless steel, titanium, Inconel, and other high-performance alloys
Perform offsets, tool changes, tool selection, fixture setup, and process adjustments
Use measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, bore gauges, height gauges, optical comparators, Keyence systems, and CMM inspection tools
Complete in-process inspections and verify parts meet tight tolerances
Collaborate with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to troubleshoot and improve processes
Support production machining, prototype work, and continuous improvement efforts
Maintain clean, safe, organized work areas in a high-precision manufacturing environment
Depending on assignment, you may work with:
Mori Seiki CNC milling and mill-turn machines
Haas 5-axis machining centers
Yasda ultra-precision hard milling equipment
DMU and Hurco machining centers
Citizen and Traub Swiss-style CNC machines
Multi-axis CNC mills, lathes, and mill-turn platforms
Fanuc-controlled machining systems
Renishaw probing and tool-setting systems
Automated bar feeders and high-pressure coolant systems
Zeiss Contura CMM inspection systems
Keyence measurement and vision systems
OGP SmartScope optical inspection equipment
Precision measuring tools including micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, indicators, and height gauges
Mastercam, Esprit, and SolidWorks software
Advanced metrology equipment supporting ISO 13485 and AS9100 quality standards
Automated pallet systems and robotic machine tending technologies

High school diploma or equivalent
3-5+ years of CNC machining experience in a precision manufacturing environment
Experience setting up and operating at least one of the following:
CNC milling machines
CNC Swiss machines
CNC lathes
CNC mill-turn centers
Multi-axis CNC equipment
Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T, including true position, parallelism, flatness, concentricity, profile, and feature control frames
Strong knowledge of tooling, speeds and feeds, offsets, workholding, and fixture setup
Experience machining stainless steel, titanium, Inconel, or similar difficult-to-machine materials
Comfortable performing in-process inspection and documenting quality checks
Technical school, vocational training, apprenticeship, or machining certification
Fanuc, Siemens, or Mitsubishi controls experience
Mastercam experience
Experience with pallet systems and automation
Experience in ISO 13485, AS9100, FDA-regulated, ITAR, aerospace, defense, or medical device manufacturing
Medical, aerospace, defense, or precision contract manufacturing experience
Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
Frequently use hands and fingers to operate machinery, tools, controls, gauges, and measuring instruments.
Frequently reach, grasp, handle, and manipulate small parts and tooling components.
Visually inspect parts, tooling, machine displays, blueprints, and measurement devices, including the ability to distinguish fine details and small dimensional variations.
Read and interpret written instructions, blueprints, setup sheets, inspection reports, and digital production information.
Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach while loading material, changing tools, cleaning machines, and performing routine maintenance.
Lift, carry, push, or pull materials, tooling, and equipment weighing up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally, with or without assistance.
Safely operate material handling equipment and lifting devices when required.
Work around moving mechanical equipment, cutting tools, metal chips, coolants, lubricants, and other manufacturing-related materials.
Tolerate exposure to moderate noise levels typical of a manufacturing environment while using required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Maintain regular attendance and work scheduled overtime as needed to support production requirements.

$25-$35 per hour, based on experience
