Job description

Build Parts That Matter.

KMM Group is hiring experienced CNC Machinist Setup Operators for 2nd and 3rd shift at our precision manufacturing facility in Hatboro, PA, serving the Greater Philadelphia Region, Northeast Philadelphia, Montgomery County, and Bucks County.

This is not button-pushing work. At KMM, machinists help produce complex, mission-critical components used in medical devices, aerospace systems, defense applications, space exploration, and high-tech manufacturing. The parts are small, precise, and important. The details matter.

You may work with CNC milling, Swiss machining, or CNC mill-turn equipment, depending on your background and the needs of the team. Our shop includes advanced equipment such as Mori Seiki CNC mill-turn centers, Citizen and Traub Swiss machines, Haas 5-axis machining centers, Yasda hard milling equipment, DMU palletized machining, Hurco machining centers, Renishaw probing systems, live tooling, bar feeders, and multi-axis CNC platforms.

What You’ll Do

CNC Setup & Machining

  • Set up and operate CNC equipment including milling machines, Swiss automatics, CNC lathes, and mill-turn centers

  • Read and interpret complex blueprints, drawings, work instructions, and GD&T requirements

  • Machine high-precision components from materials such as stainless steel, titanium, Inconel, and other high-performance alloys

  • Perform offsets, tool changes, tool selection, fixture setup, and process adjustments

  • Use measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, bore gauges, height gauges, optical comparators, Keyence systems, and CMM inspection tools

  • Complete in-process inspections and verify parts meet tight tolerances

  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to troubleshoot and improve processes

  • Support production machining, prototype work, and continuous improvement efforts

  • Maintain clean, safe, organized work areas in a high-precision manufacturing environment

Equipment You'll Work With

Depending on assignment, you may work with:

  • Mori Seiki CNC milling and mill-turn machines

  • Haas 5-axis machining centers

  • Yasda ultra-precision hard milling equipment

  • DMU and Hurco machining centers

  • Citizen and Traub Swiss-style CNC machines

  • Multi-axis CNC mills, lathes, and mill-turn platforms

  • Fanuc-controlled machining systems

  • Renishaw probing and tool-setting systems

  • Automated bar feeders and high-pressure coolant systems

  • Zeiss Contura CMM inspection systems

  • Keyence measurement and vision systems

  • OGP SmartScope optical inspection equipment

  • Precision measuring tools including micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, indicators, and height gauges

  • Mastercam, Esprit, and SolidWorks software

  • Advanced metrology equipment supporting ISO 13485 and AS9100 quality standards

  • Automated pallet systems and robotic machine tending technologies
