CNC Machinist – Setup & Production
Openings on 1st Shift - 2nd Shift or Weekend Shift
We’re hiring experienced CNC Machinists who can do more than just push buttons. If you take pride in dialing in setups, holding tight tolerances, and keeping parts moving in a fast-paced environment, this role is for you.
About the Role
You’ll be responsible for setting up and operating CNC mills and/or lathes, reading complex prints, making offsets and minor program edits, and ensuring parts meet strict quality requirements. This is a hands-on position where your machining judgment and attention to detail directly impact quality, throughput, and customer satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
3–10+ years of CNC machining experience (mills, lathes, and/or multi-axis depending on shop).
Comfortable with full setup and operation, not just loading parts or pushing cycle start.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and work to tight tolerances.
Experience making offsets and basic program edits (Fanuc, Haas, Mazak or similar controls).
Strong knowledge of tooling selection, cutting parameters, feeds & speeds, and materials (steel, aluminum, stainless, etc.).
Experience with first article inspection and in-process quality checks.
Proficient using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, height gauges, and other precision inspection tools.
Experience with fixture setup, part changeovers, and basic preventative machine maintenance.
Preferred Qualifications
Exposure to CAD/CAM software (Mastercam, Fusion 360, etc.).
Multi-axis machining experience (4th/5th axis).
Background in prototype and short-run production.
Experience troubleshooting scrap, improving cycle times, and supporting continuous improvement/lean initiatives.
What We’re Looking For
Strong CNC machining, setup, and operation skills.
Solid blueprint reading and GD&T understanding.
Quality-focused mindset with sharp attention to detail.
Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Comfortable in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with a commitment to safety and consistent output.
All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, age, color, sex (including pregnancy), religion, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, military status, genetic information, or any other status protected by applicable laws or regulations.
