CNC Machinist – Shelby Township, MI
Pay Range: $25-$30/hour (potentially higher for the right candidate)

st shift M-F, 7:00am – 3:30pm
90 days contract-to-hire position
Job Summary:
We’re looking for a skilled CNC Machinist to program, set up, and run CNC lathes and mills that produce precision parts and components. You’ll work closely with engineers and the production team to hit production goals while holding high standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities:- Program 3-axis CNC lathes and mills with MasterCAM, meeting all print specifications
- Set up tooling and fixtures for machining operations
- Run prototypes and production batches
- Read and interpret G&M code; make tool offsets, adjustments, and compensations
- Perform in-process inspection and deburring using precision measuring instruments
- Set up and operate other shop machinery as required including manual lathes, Brideport mills, etc.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot issues during production
- Keep a clean, organized work area and follow all safety protocols
Qualifications:- Proven experience as a CNC machinist in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in MasterCAM programming (edits and new programs) and G&M edits
- Proficiency in setting up 3-axis lathes and 3-axis mills
- Strong knowledge of tooling, fixtures, and precision measuring instruments
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Ability and experience achieving tolerances of +/- .001
- Solid shop math for machining measurements and calculations
- Excellent attention to detail and a focus on quality
- (Preferred) Experience with Samsung, Fuji, or Okuma machines and Fanuc controls
- (Preferred) Experience operating a Hi-Lo (forklift) and overhead crane
