Requirements

• At least two years of CNC Torin spring coiler setup experience
• Experience operating Torin Size 10 through Size 12 machines
• Torsion spring manufacturing experience required
• Ability to program, adjust, and troubleshoot Torin equipment
• Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings
• Experience using precision measuring instruments
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Stable work history
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must live within approximately 40 minutes of Springfield
• Ability to work overtime
• Casual work attire

Job Duties

• Set up and operate CNC Torin spring coiling machines
• Manufacture torsion springs and related products
• Program and adjust equipment for production runs
• Troubleshoot problems and optimize machine performance
• Read engineering drawings and production documentation
• Inspect finished springs for quality and accuracy
• Minimize equipment downtime
• Perform routine preventive maintenance
• Support continuous-improvement initiatives
• Maintain a clean and safe work area

What You Will Do

As a CNC Machinist you will set up, operate, monitor, and adjust CNC machining equipment to manufacture precision components according to engineering specifications. You will verify machine setups, inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments, troubleshoot machining issues, maintain tooling, and support quality and production goals while following established safety and manufacturing procedures.

The CNC Machinist supports precision manufacturing by programming, setting up, and operating CNC equipment used to produce complex components. This role requires strong mechanical ability, mathematical skills, and a commitment to quality workmanship.

A successful CNC Machinist understands machining processes, tooling, inspection techniques, and machine operation while maintaining consistent product quality and production efficiency. Careful attention to detail helps ensure parts meet exact engineering specifications.
