Position Overview
Seeking an experienced CNC Machinist with structural steel fabrication experience. This position operates CNC machinery used to produce steel components and requires strong blueprint-reading, machining, and troubleshooting skills.
What You’ll Do
Set up and run CNC equipment, including combination mill/lathe and drill line machines.
Review blueprints, schematics, and work orders to determine machining and fabrication requirements.
Operate hand and power tools for machining and assembly work.
Make machine adjustments to maintain production accuracy and performance.
Inspect completed components for quality and compliance with specifications.
Troubleshoot equipment problems and perform basic machine maintenance.
Enter production information and maintain records in Global Shop (ERP).
Work with the production team to maintain safe, efficient operations.
Requirements
Structural steel fabrication experience is required.
Hands-on experience operating CNC equipment, particularly combination mill/lathe and drill line machines.
Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings.
Proficiency using hand and power tools.
Strong computer skills; Global Shop or another ERP system is preferred.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and remain on your feet for extended periods.
