CNC Machinist

American Workforce Group has partnered with a premier aerospace fabrication facility in Tacoma, WA to find a dual-threat CNC Machinist. This is a high-level role for a professional who thrives on the complexity of aerospace components and high-tolerance manufacturing.

If you are a motivated expert who takes pride in flawless toolpaths and technical excellence, we want you in the shop!

What you will do:

• Multiaxis Milling: Set up, program, and operate 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis CNC mills.
• Lathe Operations: Set up and operate CNC lathes (experience with live tooling is a major plus!).
• Technical Interpretation: Masterfully interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T standards.
• Strategy & Setup: Independently select appropriate tooling, speeds, feeds, and workholding for diverse materials.

Details:

• Pay Rate: $28.00 – $36.00 per hour (Depending on Experience)
• Schedule: Monday – Friday
• Shift Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Opportunities for Overtime available!)

Requirements:

• Aerospace Fluency: Expert ability to read and interpret complex aerospace blueprints and GD&T.
• Programming: Proven ability to develop complete programs from scratch, including toolpath strategy.
• Versatility: Strong experience operating both CNC Lathes and Multiaxis Mills.
• Excellence: High attention to detail and a commitment to "first-part-correct" manufacturing.
