Introduction
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist/Technician to join our team for a 2-month project. This role requires a highly motivated individual who can work independently and collaboratively within a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in manual and CNC machining, coupled with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Proven experience as a machinist or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of machining processes, tools, and equipment
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
Experience inspecting machined parts using precision instrumentation
High school diploma or GED
US Citizenship is a must
Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
Experience with prototype work including designing and creating fixtures
Working knowledge of Mastercam
Prior work experience in the client's industry
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Set up and operate manual lathes, mills, and related machine-shop equipment
Independently set up, program, and run CNC machines
Create, modify, and maintain fixturing for machining complex components
Generate CNC programs and machining instructions using CAD/CAM inputs
Troubleshoot machining operations and adjust parameters for quality and safety
Inspect machined parts to ensure compliance with specifications
Document work performed and communicate changes or challenges to engineering partners
Follow all shop safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area
