POSITION OVERVIEW

The CNC Machinist will be familiar with operating Haas Mori Seiki Hwacheon 3 & 4 Axis CNC Turning Machines using Fanuc controls in a job-shop environment. Perform complete changeovers and achieve first piece inspections through executing required program edits and offsets. Accurately measure parts and complete associated quality documentation while ensuring production output is achieved. Operate other CNC Turning or Milling Machines when needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Retrieve job-related information, routing, drawing program inspection sheets, etc. • Review raw material for dimensions, quantity, defects, maintain heat lot traceability • Perform all change-over related activities through first piece inspection edits and offsets • Utilize precision tools and gages to measure part features, dimensions, and document results according to in-process quality inspection requirements and AQL sampling intervals • Detect and troubleshoot machining and programming issues as they occur • Operate secondary equipment to finish and clean parts for subsequent operations • Maintain high level of awareness and attention to detail to achieve quality and production results • Utilize PC or Laptop to record labor and production information • Train other operators as needed on job-related items • Follows prescribed safety rules and procedures for all work • Perform routine equipment maintenance and keep work area in a clean, orderly condition • Provide end-of-shift report activities
