CNC Maintenance Electrician (Industrial Machinery)

Picture this: you arrive, review the overnight logs, and head straight to a CNC cell that’s due for a precision PM. You validate alignment against check-sheets, analyze collected data, and make the right tweaks so uptime stays high. Minutes later, a call comes in—an NC mill is flagging a drive fault. You diagnose across electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and lubrication systems, isolate the root cause, and bring the equipment back to spec. Before your shift wraps, you’ve replaced a limit switch, calibrated a pressure circuit, and submitted a requisition for critical spare parts.

What you will take on

• Keep CNC and manually controlled (NC) machines, along with plant instrumentation, operating at peak performance.
• Execute preventive maintenance using provided check-sheets; verify alignment, evaluate trends, and coordinate corrective actions.
• Install, troubleshoot, repair, test, and calibrate AC/DC systems including motor-starting and AC magnetic circuits, pilot device logic, pressure/limit switches, and solenoid valves.
• Identify replacement components and submit timely material requisitions to minimize downtime.

What you bring

• Electrician A Test successfully completed.
• Hands-on experience with Siemens 840D and Step 7 or Fanuc controls.
• Formal Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and high-voltage training.
• 3+ years as an industrial or maintenance electrician.
• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant military or technical school training welcomed.
• Ability to lift more than 25 lbs; vision correctable to 20/40; ability to pass a hearing test.
• Career Readiness/Work Keys Certificate - Silver Status is required.
