CNC Maintenance Technician

Position Overview

TekPro is partnered with top precision machining manufacturer serving the aerospace and defense industries is seeking a Maintenance Technician! This is a state-of-the-art 150,000 square ft. facility in Ontario, CA.** Ideally we're seeking someone with strong CNC machine tool knowledge, but we are also flexible on experience.**

This is a hands-on role focused on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining CNC machine tools and supporting manufacturing equipment. We are seeking a strong technician with electrical, mechanical, and automation troubleshooting skills who can diagnose difficult equipment problems and minimize production downtime.

Key Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair CNC machine tools and manufacturing equipment.

Diagnose electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and controls-related issues.

Troubleshoot motors, drives, servos, sensors, switches, CNC controls, and other machine components.

Perform preventive maintenance and respond to equipment breakdowns.

Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and machine manuals.

Identify root causes of recurring equipment failures and complete corrective repairs.

Support installation, startup, and relocation of CNC machines and other equipment.

Work with machine-tool OEMs and outside service technicians when necessary.

Support facility equipment and systems as needed.

Qualifications

Strong experience maintaining and troubleshooting CNC machine tools.

Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.

Experience with motors, drives, servos, sensors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and machine controls.

Ability to read electrical schematics and technical documentation.

Experience with PLCs and industrial automation is highly preferred.

Experience in precision machining, aerospace, defense, or similar manufacturing environments is preferred.
