CNC Maintenance Technician

Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a day shift CNC Maintenance Technician for a long-term role with a machine shop in Tualatin, OR.The person in this position will maintain and repair CNC equipment, production equipment, and facilities.

Pay: $25-$35/hr

CNC Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:

• Execute scheduled Preventive Maintenance (PM) tasks on CNC turning centers, machining centers, and multi-axis equipment

• Respond promptly to machine downtime events — diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults and restore production as quickly as possible

• Perform hands-on repairs including lubrication system service, coolant system maintenance, way cleaning, filter replacements, belt and coupling inspections, and basic servo/spindle diagnostics

• Document all maintenance activity accurately in the CMMS — work orders, PM completions, parts used, and time to repair

• Maintain and organize the spare parts inventory relevant to machine uptime: filters, belts, seals, sensors, and consumable components

• Support installation, leveling, and commissioning of new or relocated equipment

• Perform routine building maintenance including minor electrical, plumbing, HVAC filter changes, and general repairs

• Coordinate with vendors for tasks requiring licensed or specialized trades

• Follow all safety procedures for electrical, mechanical, and chemical hazards on the shop floor

CNC Maintenance Technician Qualifications:

• 2+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in a CNC machining, precision manufacturing, or heavy industrial environment

• Working knowledge of mechanical systems: hydraulics, pneumatics, lubrication, coolant, drives, and motion components

• Basic electrical troubleshooting skills — able to read wiring diagrams and safely diagnose faults to the component level

• Familiarity with at least one CNC control platform (Fanuc, Siemens, Mazatrol, or similar)

• Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and technical drawings

• Strong troubleshooting instincts — comfortable working through problems systematically under time pressure

• Experience with CMMS or maintenance tracking software

• High school diploma or GED; valid driver's license

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
