Description
- Develop, program, and optimize CNC machining processes for complex components
- Create and validate complete manufacturing plans, including tooling, fixtures, and workholding solutions
- Lead process improvements focused on cycle time reduction, efficiency, and cost optimization
- Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and quality issues to ensure production reliability
- Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T specifications to ensure precise manufacturing output
- Support new product introduction (NPI) activities, including process validation and launch readiness
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing performance and production outcomes
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across machining operations
Profile
- Extensive experience in CNC programming within a precision machining environment (typically 7+ years)
- Proven ability to independently develop, test, and refine CNC programs for complex parts
- Strong expertise in manufacturing process development, including tooling and setup optimization
- Solid understanding of GD&T, blueprint reading, and machining best practices
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve technical issues autonomously
- Experience with multi-axis machining (4-axis/5-axis) is advantageous
- Background in aerospace, defense, medical, or other high-spec manufacturing industries preferred
- Degree in engineering or equivalent hands-on experience
