This role is responsible for driving CNC manufacturing readiness for new product introductions. You will develop, implement, and optimize machining processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and scalability. Acting as a key technical resource, you'll work closely with engineering, quality, and production teams to bring complex components into full production.

Description

Responsibilities:

  • Develop CNC machining processes including tooling, fixtures, and multi-axis programming
  • Create and optimize programs using CAD/CAM software (e.g., NX, Esprit, SolidWorks, Vericut)
  • Partner with design engineering on DFM to ensure manufacturability
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and lead root cause/corrective actions
  • Improve cycle times, reduce waste, and drive Lean initiatives (5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma)
  • Select equipment and tooling for NPI projects
  • Create and maintain process documentation (SOPs, setup sheets, work instructions)
  • Train machinists and operators on best practices and processes
  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards

Profile

Ideal Candidate:

  • 5+ years in CNC machining/process engineering in a precision manufacturing environment
  • Strong hands-on programming, setup, and operation experience
  • Expertise in multi-axis machining (3, 4, 5-axis, mill-turn)
  • Advanced capabilities in probing and macro programming
  • Proficient with CAD/CAM tools (NX, Esprit, SolidWorks, Vericut or similar)
  • Strong understanding of GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and blueprint interpretation
  • Experience with metrology systems and inspection processes
  • Lean manufacturing mindset with proven process improvement success
  • U.S. Citizenship required
