We are seeking a CNC Manufacturing Engineer to support machining operations and drive efficiency improvements across a complex, high-reliability manufacturing environment. This role is highly hands-on, working closely with engineering, production, and machine shop teams to enhance manufacturability, resolve issues, and implement new processes and equipment.

Description
Responsibilities:
- Provide primary engineering support for machining processes and equipment
- Analyze and define tooling, fixturing, and equipment needs for machine shop operations
- Develop and maintain work instructions, process documentation, and mechanical drawings
- Create and implement Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, production, and quality teams
- Design fixtures using CAD and improve manufacturability of products
- Support capital equipment selection, justification, and implementation
- Lead equipment validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ)
- Train operators and technicians on updated processes
- Drive Lean initiatives, including work cell layout and workflow improvements
- Review and disposition non-conforming materials
Profile
Ideal Candidate:
- 3+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in a machining or production environment
- Strong understanding of low-volume, high-mix manufacturing
- Hands-on experience supporting machining operations and troubleshooting processes
- Experience with CAD for basic fixture design
- Familiarity with ECO processes and process documentation
- Exposure to equipment validation (IQ/OQ/PQ) and capital projects preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work cross-functionally on the shop floor
