Your 90‑day impact
Day 30: Master site safety and quality procedures; independently set up VMCs and 3‑/5‑axis CNC mills for plastic components to print.
Day 60: Consistently hit Time Against Work Order targets; log complete process and IPC data in Pro Shop/Part Level; maintain accurate in‑process counts and daily time sheets.
Day 90: Own multiple jobs across the floor—communicate machine status to operators, adjust tooling/work offsets to hold tolerance, and proactively address burrs, chip evacuation, tool wear, and coolant flow.
What you’ll deliver
Precision setups and operation on vertical machining centers, lathes, and multi‑axis mills.
Reliable execution of forming, drilling, tapping, reaming, chamfering, and cutting operations.
Adherence to the Quality Manual, procedures, and training requirements.
Clear, timely documentation: process/IPC entries, part counts, and timekeeping.
Hands‑on support work such as hand deburring, sawing, bead blasting, scraping plastic parts, and installing inserts.
In‑process inspections—visual and dimensional—paired with offset/tooling corrections to maintain quality.
What you’ll bring
High School Diploma or GED.
2+ years of CNC machining experience and 1+ year of reading blueprints.
Computer proficiency for pulling work instructions, recording inspection data, and submitting time.
Capability (and/or certification) with basic metrology—micrometers and other measuring instruments.
Strong command of G & M code, cutting tools, and holders.
Effective multitasking, time management, and the ability to stand for extended periods.
Team collaboration skills with clear written and verbal communication.
Comfort following straightforward written/oral directions.
Safety first: do not lift more than 35 lbs—use material handling equipment or request help.
Preferred qualifications
Background in precision machining of plastics.
Experience with CMMs or other inspection tools.
Familiarity with ERP systems.
Strong blueprint interpretation skills.
Work setup
Onsite in Wallingford, CT; no travel required.
