Core responsibilities
- Run production to plan unless priorities shift.
- Perform time-based quality checks using gauges and visual inspection.
- Operate various machines safely and follow all procedures.
- Interpret travelers/job routings and basic blueprints.
- Report labor, rework, and scrap accurately in the computer system.
- Handle routine operator maintenance or escalate needs.
- Accept repetitive work and frequent job changes.
- Support additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- CNC experience preferred.
- Able to stand for 8 hours and lift 10 lbs continuously (25–50 lbs occasionally).
- Self-driven, attentive to detail, and dependable attendance.
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry.
- Understands ± tolerances/limits and recognizes basic GD&T symbols.
- Commitment to safety and housekeeping.
Physical and environmental realities
- Frequent: bending, squatting, standing, walking, pushing/pulling, kneeling, manual dexterity, overhead reaching, fine finger movements, and repetitive motion.
- Occasional: climbing.
- Not required: sitting and crawling.
- Lifting: occasional light (up to 25 lbs) and moderate (25–50 lbs); no heavy lifting over 50 lbs.
- Exposure: frequent noise, moving machinery, temperature/humidity changes, and dust/fumes/gases/microwave/other.
- Generally not required: driving motorized equipment, confined spaces, or working at unprotected heights.
