Step into a role where your programming expertise shapes how parts move from concept to finished component. In this position, you will be the engine behind our shop’s precision and productivity—designing fixtures, building CAM strategies, and partnering with machinists to deliver right-first-time results.
A day in the life
Start your morning translating models into reality—create robust 3D part models in SolidWorks and generate accurate 2D prints and manufacturing drawings.
Map out the smartest way to make the part—determine processes, routings, and tooling standards that drive repeatable outcomes.
Build and validate programs—develop Mastercam toolpaths, post and verify CNC programs, and write offline probing macros.
Design for speed and quality—engineer fixtures that shorten cycle times while maximizing GD&T compliance.
Support the floor—troubleshoot manufacturing and programming challenges and ensure programs use the latest tooling and inserts.
Document and quote—produce inspection reports in JobBOSS and Excel, and provide cycle-time estimates for new opportunities.
Continuously improve—research innovative tooling, champion Lean/Six Sigma ideas, and mentor teammates across the organization.
