What you’ll own

  • Daily machine shop operations—staffing, sequencing, and resource allocation.
  • Team leadership: supervise, coach, and cultivate a constructive, accountable environment.
  • Safety and compliance: enforce standards and sustain a safe, orderly floor.
  • Quality management: monitor output, drive corrective actions, and meet specifications.
  • Partnership with engineering/production to streamline processes and shorten lead times.
  • Asset care: ensure equipment reliability via routine checks and preventive maintenance.
  • Visibility: maintain reports on throughput, KPIs, team performance, and machine status.
  • Capability building: deliver onboarding and continuous training for all experience levels.

What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field preferred; alternatively, 5+ years in a supervisory or management role within a machine shop is required.
  • Hands-on understanding of machining processes, tools, and equipment.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to read/interpret prints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented problem solver with strong communication skills.
  • Comfort with manufacturing/production management software.
  • Unwavering commitment to safety and quality.
