CNC Machinist – 2nd Shift (Yakima, WA)

What You’ll Do

• Set up and operate a variety of CNC and manual machine tools to produce precision components
• Interpret blueprints, sketches, engineering drawings, and CAD/CAM files
• Calculate dimensions, tolerances, and material requirements using precision measuring tools
• Machine parts to exact specifications using lathes, mills, shapers, grinders, and related tools
• Inspect, measure, and evaluate completed parts to ensure quality and conformity
• Install and secure tooling, fixtures, materials, and machine accessories
• Monitor machine operation including feed, speed, and cutting conditions
• Review sample parts, drawings, and engineering documentation to determine machining sequences
• Troubleshoot issues, ensure accurate setups, and maintain production efficiency

What You Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience as a CNC Machinist or similar machining role
• Proficiency with micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, CMMs, and other precision measurement instruments
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and CAD/CAM files
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles (preferred)
• Welding experience (plus)
• Forklift certification (plus)
• Experience with plastics injection molding (plus)
