What You’ll Do
- Set up and operate a variety of CNC and manual machine tools to produce precision components
- Interpret blueprints, sketches, engineering drawings, and CAD/CAM files
- Calculate dimensions, tolerances, and material requirements using precision measuring tools
- Machine parts to exact specifications using lathes, mills, shapers, grinders, and related tools
- Inspect, measure, and evaluate completed parts to ensure quality and conformity
- Install and secure tooling, fixtures, materials, and machine accessories
- Monitor machine operation including feed, speed, and cutting conditions
- Review sample parts, drawings, and engineering documentation to determine machining sequences
- Troubleshoot issues, ensure accurate setups, and maintain production efficiency
What You Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a CNC Machinist or similar machining role
- Proficiency with micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, CMMs, and other precision measurement instruments
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and CAD/CAM files
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles (preferred)
- Welding experience (plus)
- Forklift certification (plus)
- Experience with plastics injection molding (plus)
