CNC Mill Machinist - 2nd Shift

***This is a 2nd shift position, Monday-Thursday, four 10-hour shifts. Pays 8% differential. Sign on bonus $3000. ***

Duties/Responsibilities of CNC Mill Machinist:

• Loads, Unloads, Starts, and Stops Machines.
• Sets the feeds and speeds of machines during the machining process.
• Watches gauges, dials, and other key indicators to make sure machines are working
• properly and workpieces meet quality standards.
• Monitors machines during operation in order to detect dull cutting tools and excessive
• Measures dimensions of finished workpieces to ensure conformance to specifications,
• using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures.
• Calculates and sets machine movements according to drawing specs.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities of CNC Mill Machinist:

• Knowledge of basic hand tools, including their uses and maintenance.
• Ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine to exact positions.
• Ability to control the operations of machining equipment and systems.
• Basic mathematics knowledge, particularly Trigonometry.

Education and Experience of CNC Mill Machinist:

• High School Diploma or equivalent. 0-3 years of experience in relevant field preferred.
• 5S and Lean Manufacturing training.
• Basic Blueprint Reading.
• Documentation and Modern’s Production System.
• Inspection Techniques for Machinists. SPC Charts and Tools. Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing. Adjusting Boring heads.
