    CNC Machinist

    Chatsworth, CA

    Full time – Temp to hire

    Monday thru Friday - Swing shift – 3:30pm to Midnight

    $25hr to $35hr depending on experience

    A pioneer in the rapid prototyping, rapid production and digital manufacturing of the toughest and most demanding jobs including custom plastic injection molding, injection mold tooling, investment casting patterns, and the newest additive manufacturing processes like 3D Printing for the aerospace, medical, industrial, consumer, OEM, and other manufacturing sectors is looking for a CNC Machinist to join their team in Chatsworth.

    Summary: Seeking dependable, innovative candidates who work confidently and independently. CNC machinists can expect to work with both software and hardware, conduct tests and inspections of products, services and software systems, and repair faulty programs and machinery. You should have an above-average aptitude for trigonometry, geometry, statistics and algebra, excellent computer and interpersonal communication skills, physical stamina and a keen interest in production and processing.

    Responsibilities:

    • Set up machines: Read blueprints and technical drawings to set up machines for specific jobs.
    • Write programs: Use computer software to create and test programs for the machines. MasterCam, CamWorks.
    • Operate machines: Use machines like lathes, mills, and grinders to cut, turn, drill, and more.
    • Inspect parts: Use precision measuring instruments to verify the dimensions of parts.
    • Maintain machines: Perform regular maintenance on the machines.
    • Ensure quality: Check the quality of parts and ensure they meet specifications.
    • Follow safety standards: Follow safety and OSHA standards to ensure a safe working environment.

    Qualifications:

    • Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, geometry, and algebra.
    • Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
    • Ability to work under pressure and solve problems.
    • Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
    • Aerospace Experience.
    • Ability to make precision parts.

    • CamWorks

    Machines & technologies you'll use:

    • CNC Mill (3-4 axis VMC)
    • CAM Software (Mastercam, GibbsCAM)
    • CNC Mill (5+ axis VMC) (Mitsubishi)
