Our client an aerospace company in Westfield, MA is looking for a CNC Milling Machinist on a direct hire/permanent basis as soon as possible. They are looking for someone interested in a1st Shift Mon-Fri 7am-4pm position, who comes with experience using 4-5-Axis Milling machines. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating CNC machinery, programming, and precision machining. The CNC Mill Machinist should be proficient in all aspects of CNC Milling Machining to include set-up, operating and editing.
Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
Ability to read and interpret customer blueprints and company operation sheets
Ability to use the Machine Control
Ability to set tools and enter offsets into Machine Control
Ability to follow set up instructions including setting up fixtures, vices, and rotaries
Troubleshoot and work directly with Programming and inspection to adjust CNC programs, as required
Use inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, etc. as required
Operate within AS9100/ISO9001 requirements to include proper documentation, revision control, traceability and lot control
Skills Needed:
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
Able to handle and follow instructions
High School Diploma or equivalent
5 year’s experience as Machinist
4-5-Axis Milling Machine experience preferred
