CNC Machinist – Milling (5?Axis)
About the Role
Seeking an experienced CNC Machinist – Milling to set up, program, and operate 5?Axis CNC milling machines to produce high?precision parts in a manufacturing environment. This role requires strong blueprint reading skills, hands?on machining experience, and the ability to work independently while maintaining high quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Program, set up, and operate CNC milling machines (5?Axis)
- Select, install, and change cutting tools as required
- Monitor machining operations to ensure accuracy and quality
- Perform routine machine maintenance and tool changes
- Troubleshoot machining and process issues as they arise
- Follow all safety policies and procedures
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Education & Experience Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
- Technical school certification or Associate’s degree in CNC Machining, Manufacturing Technology, or related field (preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a CNC Machinist (Milling) in a manufacturing environment
- Minimum 3 years of CNC programming experience
- Experience with Heidenhain controls (preferred)
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Knowledge of CNC setup, tooling, and machine maintenance
- Solid mechanical aptitude
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Strong problem?solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Understanding of machining safety standards and procedures
