CNC Operations Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop manufacturing teams, including supervisors, leads, machinists, and support staff, while promoting accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement

• Oversee key manufacturing and capital projects, including NPI, machine upgrades, new technologies, capacity expansion, and process optimization, ensuring delivery within established timelines and budgets

• Provide technical leadership for CNC machining and precision manufacturing, troubleshooting production challenges and implementing practical solutions to improve performance

• Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Materials, Maintenance, suppliers, and customers to execute projects and successfully transition new products into production

• Drive operational excellence and Lean manufacturing initiatives, improving machine utilization, cycle time, productivity, throughput, quality, safety, and on-time delivery through 5S, Kaizen, setup reduction, standard work, and waste elimination

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience

• 7–10 years of machining/manufacturing experience, including 3–5 years in a leadership role, with strong technical knowledge of CNC machining operations

• Experience with ISO and/or AS9100 quality standards, along with knowledge of OSHA regulations, environmental practices, and applicable employment requirements

• Demonstrated knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies; Six Sigma certification is a plus

• Proven project management, problem-solving, and team leadership skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional projects, drive change, develop teams, and manage competing priorities

• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems, manufacturing software, and Microsoft Office, with strong written and verbal communication skills; must meet ITAR U.S. person requirements

Salary: $100K - $140K
