POSITION SUMMARY
Operates CNC machines and perform secondary operations within department.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate single and multiple CNC turning lathes; currently training on large CNC turning lathes.
Pull auto programs and run first piece; training to make offset adjustments.
Set up and operate milling, scarfing, butt, and notching processes.
Deburr completed parts manually and cut simple springs.
Read and interpret blueprints (FO) and assemble springs or O-rings.
Form springs and perform basic measurements using calipers.
Sharpen tools and make minor tool changes.
Complete all quality checks and use CMM to ensure parts meet tolerance specifications.
Meet productivity goals most of the time and complete Near Hits documentation.
Perform preventive and basic maintenance on required equipment.
Actively participate in the plant's safety program by reporting injuries, near misses, and unsafe conditions immediately.
Engage in the High Performance Team (HPT) to suggest improvements for the work experience.
Record accurate data, including order completions and quantities on daily labor reports, reclaim tickets, and daily hours worked.
Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area, ensuring walkways and aisles are free of debris and adhering to 5S standards.
Ensure daily attendance and punctuality; overtime may be required based on customer demand.
May be required to learn and operate additional cell equipment and processes.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education - High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) - or work equivalent
Preferred - experience in machining plastics/polymers, experience operating turning lathes, CNC programming skills
Other Requirements
Use measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, go/no-go gauges, CMM measuring machine)
Work independently with limited instruction
Manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Demonstrated experience of positive work ethic and quality performance
Must have the ability to pass a background check and drug screen
Physical Requirements
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Candidate should be able to stand, walk, sit, manually manipulate, reach outward, reach above their shoulder, climb, crawl, bend, grasp, speak, squat or kneel.
Should be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds with or without assistance and push/pull up to 25 pounds.
Pay Range: $18.00 - 25.00/hr
