CNC Operator
Location: Mebane, NC

Your Role: CNC Operator
The CNC Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring CNC-controlled production equipment to manufacture high-quality aluminum components according to engineering specifications and work instructions. This role requires strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and experience working in a CNC manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machines to produce aluminum components meeting quality and dimensional requirements
- Load raw material and secure parts using appropriate fixturing and workholding methods
- Make offset adjustments and tool changes as needed to maintain part quality
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and job travelers
- Use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify dimensions and tolerances
- Perform in-process inspections and document quality checks per procedures
- Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot basic issues related to tooling, materials, or machine operation
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and keep machines clean and organized
- Meet production targets while maintaining quality and safety standards
- Accurately enter production data and inspection results into computer-based systems
- Follow all safety, environmental, and quality procedures
Qualifications
- Prior experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read blueprints and understand basic GD&T concepts
- Experience using precision measuring instruments
- Basic understanding of CNC offsets, tooling, and machine controls
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Comfortable working in a production-focused environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CNC mills, lathes, or multi-axis machines
- Familiarity with aluminum machining
- CNC certification or technical training
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for most of the shift
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Ability to bend, stoop, push, pull, and perform repetitive motions
- Comfortable working around industrial machinery and equipment
