The CNC Operator role involves operating and setting up CNC machining centers, grinders, EDM, and laser machines in an aerospace manufacturing environment, ensuring quality, safety, and production standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate CNC and grinding equipment
- Set up CNC, EDM, laser, and manual machines
- Perform machining per specifications and inspect parts using measuring tools
- Read blueprints and resolve minor setup issues
- Maintain quality, safety, and housekeeping standards
- Support preventative maintenance and follow TPM and CTQ programs
Work Environment: Part-time evening/weekend shift in a safety- and quality-focused aerospace setting, involving hands-on machining and inspection.
Skills Required: 1+ year experience in CNC operation, setup, blueprint reading, measuring tools, problem-solving, and communication. Preferred skills include CNC program editing, EDM/grinding experience, and ISO-9000 exposure.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; machining experience preferred.
