Stand-By Personnel is seeking skilled CNC Machinists to support manufacturing clients in the Claremore area. This role involves setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC equipment to produce precision components that meet customer specifications and quality standards. Candidates must be dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced production environment. Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC machines, including mills, lathes, and multi-axis equipment
Read and interpret blueprints, job orders, and technical drawings
Load raw materials and verify machine setup before production runs
Monitor machining operations to ensure parts meet required tolerances
Perform inspections using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
Make adjustments to tooling, offsets, and machine settings as needed
Troubleshoot machining issues and identify root causes of defects
Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with OSHA standards
Complete production documentation and quality reports accurately
Follow all client and Stand-By Personnel safety policies and procedures
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
Minimum 1 3 years of CNC machining experience (depending on assignment)
Ability to read blueprints and understand basic GD&T
Experience with CNC controls and basic program edits (G-code preferred)
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
Preferred Skills
Experience in job shop or high-production environments
Knowledge of Fanuc, Haas, or similar CNC controls
Tooling setup and changeover experience
Ability to work multiple shifts, overtime, or weekends
Forklift or material handling experience (a plus)
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for long periods during shifts
Lift up to 50 lbs frequently
Bend, stoop, and reach as required
Comfortable working around machinery and industrial equipment
Work Environment
Industrial/manufacturing facilities in the Claremore area
Positions may be temporary, temp-to-hire, or direct placement
Shift schedules may include days, nights, or weekends depending on client needs
