CNC Operator

CNC Machine Operator (Mills or Lathes) – 1st or 2nd Shift

ERA Industries is hiring a CNC Machine Operator to run CNC mills and/or lathes in a production machining environment. This role is ideal for someone who can read blueprints, hold tight tolerances, and complete first article inspections.

Shift Options

• 1st Shift: 6:00am – 4:00pm

• 2nd Shift: 6:00pm – 4:00am

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC mills and/or lathes to produce precision parts

• Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and job travelers

• Perform first article inspection and in-process checks using basic measuring tools

• Verify parts meet print specs and quality requirements

• Load/unload parts, change tooling as needed, and keep machines running efficiently

• Document inspection results and report any issues to the lead/supervisor

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

Requirements

• Experience operating CNC equipment (mills or lathes) in a manufacturing environment

• Ability to read blueprints and understand tolerances

• Comfortable performing first article inspections

• Experience using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges

• Reliable attendance and ability to work a 4-day, 10-hour schedule

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience running both mills and lathes

• Basic knowledge of offsets/tool adjustments

• Previous work in a high-mix or precision machining environment
