About the Role:
Join our dynamic team at Steel and Metal Service Center as a CNC Operator for our state-of-the-art Peddinghause Plate Processor. Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate the Peddinghause Plate Processor to meet production specifications.
- Monitor machine performance and adjust settings for optimal output and quality.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machinery.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with safety regulations.
- Document production processes and report any discrepancies to management.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in CNC operations preferred.
- 2+ years of experience operating CNC machinery, specifically Peddinghause equipment.
- Strong understanding of G-code programming and CNC machining principles.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Familiarity with safety standards and practices in a manufacturing environment.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills and technologies.
