Position Overview:
The CNC Operator's main responsibilities consist of loading/unloading, gauging part features and keeping them within print tolerances.
Qualifications:
- Understand and operate the CNC controls.
- Use and read quality gauges to make adjustments as needed to keep parts on size by using the machine's tooling offsets.
- Change programs when setting up different part numbers.
- Read CNC programs so the Operator can re-cut certain part features when required.
- Maintain the machine's tooling.
- Understand common CNC terminology (G & M codes).
- Maintain production goals.
- Candidates must be physical able to perform the duties of loading and unloading parts into the CNC machine.
- Lift requirements – 30-50 lbs.
- Push/Pull requirements – 10-20 lbs.
