An established aerospace machine shop with long-term contracts is looking for skilled operators to run 3-5 axis CNC Mills and/or Lathes. This is a great opportunity to join a stable, clean, and team-oriented environment with steady work and room to grow.




SALARY: $28-$30/hr. DOE

LOCATION: Gresham, OR

SCHEDULE: Full-time; 4x10

WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Operate and set up 3-5 axis CNC Mills and/or Lathes to produce aerospace parts to blueprint specifications
  • Maintain tight tolerances (+/- .001) while machining aluminum and steel components
  • Load raw materials, adjust offsets, and inspect parts using calipers and micrometers
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot minor machine issues
  • Interpret blueprints and select appropriate programs (no editing required)
  • Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a collaborative team environment

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
  • 5+ years of aerospace machining experience with expertise in steel and aluminum components
  • Skilled in setup and operation of 3-5 axis CNC Mills and/or Lathes, including offset adjustments and program selection
  • Precision-focused, able to hold tight tolerances (+/- .001") and perform accurate inspections using calipers and micrometers
  • Strong blueprint interpretation and troubleshooting skills to ensure part accuracy and resolve minor machine issues
  • Safety-conscious team player with solid maintenance habits and effective communication in a collaborative environment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks such as machine setup, part loading/unloading, and tool handling
  • Capable of lifting materials and parts up to 50 lbs and operating manual and powered equipment safely
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for precision measuring, adjusting machine settings, and handling small components
