*** 1st Shift: 6am - 2:30pm ***

LEVEL 1 – CNC Operator (1–3 Years Experience)

Position Summary
Level 1 operators are developing proficiency in CNC machining. They run machines with established setups, perform basic offsets, and support shop operations. They can operate conventional machines at a basic level for simple tasks.

Essential Functions

• Operate CNC mills, lathes, or mill turn machines with pre set tooling and fixtures.
• Load and verify CNC programs; make simple offset adjustments.
• Perform basic tooling setup, part loading, and machine operation.
• Read and interpret drawings and basic GD&T.
• Conduct standard in process measurements (calipers, micrometers).
• Monitor for tool wear and abnormal conditions.
• Maintain production and quality documentation.
• Keep workstations clean, safe, and organized.
• Report machining, tooling, or program issues.
• Perform basic operations on conventional manual machines (simple facing, drilling, deburring).

Experience Expectations

• 1–3 years CNC experience.
• Familiarity with Haas, Fanuc, or similar controls.
• Basic machining process knowledge and shop safety awareness.
• Basic ability to run manual machines for straightforward tasks.
