CNC Operator / Programmer
Produces machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies.
Responsibilities
- Use Mastercam, Program (G Code), Set-up & Run various machine tools on a CNC machine.
- Ensure all components produced meet specifications using appropriate measuring equipment such as (Micrometers, Height Gauges, Bore Gauges and etc).
- Must be able to select suitable tools and cutters.
- Candidates will be required to work within very close tolerances and be able to work in a production setting to meet on going production quotas.
- Read blueprint drawings, job orders, tooling instructions, or standard charts to determine specification procedures.
- Perform routine machine maintenance.
- Load and indicate part to fixture and secure the work piece in the holding device.
- Position and secure tools and tool holders to tool heads.
- Monitor tool wear, change tools and inserts as required.
- Good work ethic and flexibility to work overtime is a must.
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and meet deadlines, and stand for long period of time.
- Must be able to contribute to continuous improvement techniques to improve output, quality, cost and delivery.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Must be able to read & understand drawing and handle measuring instruments.
- To have basic knowledge on CNC milling and lathe machines.
- Good discipline and cooperation with others.
- Must be able to communicate and have interpersonal skill with attention to detail.
- Must have basic computer knowledge with Mastercam or CAD/CAM experience.
Education and Experience
- Prefer 5 years of work experience as a CNC machinist.
